With our new range in the field of acoustics and interior fittings, we are expanding our product range in a targeted manner. The focus is on solutions that work in everyday project work, are technically convincing and can be realised cleanly in planning and execution.
In this interview, Yves Traber explains what the new range includes, which of our customers' needs were at the forefront and why well thought-out solutions for building acoustics and room acoustics are more important today than ever before.
What products does the new range include and what is new about them?
"Our new range covers the most important solutions for building acoustics and room acoustics. This includes products for partition walls, ceilings and lightweight constructions, supplemented by suitable accessories and, in the area of room acoustics, also by practical system components.
What is new above all is that we are thinking even more consistently about acoustics and interior design as a complete solution. It's no longer just about individual insulation materials, but about a range that is harmonised and works better together in practice. This is exactly what makes it more efficient for our customers and ultimately also more pleasant to implement.
It was important to us that not only individual products are available, but that truly harmonised solutions are available for everyday use on the construction site."
What is the aim of the new range in the field of acoustics and interior design?
"Our goal is clear: we want to make our customers' work easier and give them more certainty in planning and realisation. Good acoustic solutions should not appear complicated, but should be understandable, reliable and practical.
If, in the end, not only the technology is right, but the journey there is also pleasant, then we have done a lot right. That's exactly what the new range is all about."
What customer needs were at the forefront of the reorganisation?
"The focus was on the typical wishes from everyday project work: good acoustic effect, simple processing, reliable availability and a range that doesn't make any unnecessary detours.
Our customers need solutions that work on the construction site and ideally create trust right from the planning stage. We have responded to precisely this point. It's not just about providing materials, but solutions that really help in everyday life."
For which target groups and applications is the new range particularly interesting?
"The range is particularly exciting for planners, architects, ceiling fitters, carpenters, drywall fitters, plasterers and other companies involved in interior construction. It is suitable for residential buildings, offices, training rooms, catering, healthcare and many other interior fit-out projects.
In short: wherever good acoustics are not a luxury, but make a real difference. Particularly in rooms that are used intensively or where speech intelligibility, quiet and comfort are important, well-coordinated solutions play a key role."
What challenges do you encounter particularly often in customer projects?
"Acoustics are often planned too late or underestimated in everyday project work. Then there is a lack of suitable solutions for the structure, the connections or the desired effect in the room.
And as is so often the case, the devil is not in the big concept, but in the small details. A well-planned structure is important, but transitions, connections and processing on the construction site are just as crucial. If you consider these points too late, you often end up with more work later on."
How does the new range help to solve these challenges in a targeted manner?
"Our new range helps because it offers clear and practical solutions for the most important applications. When it comes to building acoustics, the right insulation materials combined with the right structure ensure effective sound insulation. In room acoustics, suitable absorption solutions noticeably improve the reverberation time and therefore speech intelligibility.
The decisive factor is that the solutions are not conceived in isolation. When products, accessories and applications fit together, implementation becomes easier and more reliable. This is precisely what gives you a real advantage in everyday project work."
Which products or solutions would you like to emphasise in particular?
"I would particularly like to emphasise our room acoustics solutions such as SAGER Sonic Panel and SAGER Sonic Grid as well as the SAGLAN SA products. These solutions are versatile in many projects and bring acoustic improvements.
On the building acoustics side, the products in partition walls and lightweight constructions are particularly strong for me because they are frequently used in everyday life and are technically convincing. These solutions are particularly relevant in practice because they often determine the quality of a room later on."
What should you pay particular attention to when choosing acoustic and interior design solutions?
"It's important that the solution not only looks good, but also really suits the room and its use. You should always consider the entire structure, i.e. material, connections, finish and the desired acoustic effect.
A good solution is not always the loudest one in the brochure, but the one that ultimately works properly in the project. It is precisely this view of the big picture that is crucial if you want to achieve good results in the long term."
What advantages do customers have when products and accessories are harmonised?
"When products and accessories are perfectly harmonised, many things become easier. Processing is smoother, assembly is safer and the risk of errors is significantly reduced.
This saves time, nerves and sometimes unnecessary discussions on the construction site. This is a clear advantage for our customers because it not only improves the technical quality, but also simplifies the entire process."
How does SAGER support customers in selecting the right solution?
"We provide support with technical advice, calculations, clear recommendations and the right documentation. Depending on the project, we also help with customised cutting, delivery and all the important information for implementation.
This quickly turns an idea into a concrete and reliable solution. It is precisely this combination of product range, expertise and practical support that makes the difference for many customers."
What role do quality, processing and availability play?
"A very big one. Acoustic and interior fit-out projects only work well if the products are not only technically strong, but are also delivered reliably and can be processed efficiently
What developments are you currently observing in the market for acoustics and interior fittings?
"I can clearly see that the demands for quiet, comfort and good speech intelligibility are increasing. At the same time, rooms are being used in a more open, flexible and versatile way, which significantly increases the demands on acoustics and planning.
The market therefore demands solutions that are technically strong but still uncomplicated. This is precisely the challenge today."
How is SAGER responding to these developments with the new range?
"With the new range, we are responding precisely to this development. We offer solutions that are practical, easy to combine and tailored to the real requirements of acoustic interior design.
In this way, we create real added value for customers who are not just looking for materials, but for reliable support. Our aim is to help customers find the right solution faster and more reliably."
What would you like to tell customers who are currently planning a project in the field of acoustics and interior design?
"My advice is to plan acoustics early on and not stumble over them at the end. If you plan properly, you save time, effort and unnecessary corrections later on.
And if this results in a solution that is technically convincing and works well in everyday life, then that is exactly the standard we are pursuing."
