Small measure, big effect: we were able to drastically reduce the reverberation times in the Cornol (JU) municipal administration with a targeted acoustic refurbishment and thus ensure a much more pleasant working environment. ISO-SWISS acoustic panels transformed a reverberant office space into a workplace with clear speech intelligibility and noticeably more peace and quiet.

Initial situation
As part of an interior renovation, the municipality was faced with massive acoustic problems: The reverberation times in the administration office were over three seconds. This led to poor speech intelligibility, high noise levels and a stressful working atmosphere.
Analysis and planning
Our in-house calculation tool Sakustik was used to precisely analyse the room situation in accordance with SIA 181 and DIN 18041. On this basis, we developed a solution that could be integrated into the office in a way that was both acoustically effective and visually unobtrusive.
Realisation
The assembly of the ISO-SWISS acoustic panels was installed directly on the bare ceiling. Thanks to the uncomplicated direct installation by arsio SA on the bare ceiling, the reverberation time was reduced to less than 0.5 seconds - a value that creates an acoustically standardised and pleasant working environment.
