Cutting & finishing
CNC cutting, moulded parts, cut-outs and finishing
Customised cuts and finishes - from piece 1

Precisely fitting parts instead of hand-cut parts

We cut insulation materials, acoustic elements and soft materials exactly to your specifications.

For fabricators, planners and industrial customers, this means less manual labour, fewer rejects and parts that are immediately ready for assembly, production or further processing.

Everything from a single source

Cutting

We cut suitable materials to size - straight, contoured or with cut-outs.

  • CNC cutting for complex geometries
  • Mould cuts according to drawing, template or DXF file
  • Cut-outs, radii, contours and special shapes
  • Special parts, samples, small series and larger orders

Refinement

The cut parts can be finished on request.

  • Coating for acoustic, visual or functional requirements
  • Edge processing and laminating for clean finishes
  • Gluing for multi-layer or combined elements
  • Post-processing depending on application and material

Very simple

Your advantages at a glance

Less manual labour

Cutting with templates takes time and is prone to errors. With machine-prepared parts, you save work steps and reduce rework.

Less waste

Precise contours, recesses and dimensions help to utilise material better and reduce waste.

Possible from piece 1

Even small quantities are worthwhile: we manufacture special parts, samples and small batches without large minimum quantities.

Repeatable quality

Recurring parts can be manufactured reproducibly. Helpful for series, follow-up orders or projects with identical components.

One contact person

Cutting, finishing and feasibility checks are carried out by Sager. This shortens coordination times and simplifies processing.

Practical examples from the application:

If standard sizes don’t fit, we supply custom-cut panels. This ensures your insulation fits perfectly, even in challenging situations.

The machine also offers a wide range of options in terms of data. Among other things, it can process:

  • PLT / HPGL
  • DXF / DWG
  • AAMA / ASTM
  • Gerber ISO
  • CNC ISO
  • CAD data from design software

our offer

Applications and materials

The service is suitable for companies that regularly adapt insulating materials, acoustic elements or soft materials, require them in special shapes or want to prepare them for assembly and further processing.

Suitable for:

  • Straight cuts and moulded cuts
  • Contours, radii and recesses
  • Recurring parts with consistent quality
  • Soft insulation and acoustic materials
  • Materials from the Sager range or supplied materials after testing

Typical materials:

  • Glass wool and mineral wool
  • Insulation materials
  • Acoustic panels and acoustic elements
  • Soft fibre boards
  • Foils and other suitable materials on request

Would you like to have your own material processed? We will check whether processing is possible based on the type of material, dimensions and desired finish. We will coordinate delivery or collection with you on a project-specific basis.

Among other things, we use the Kuris Texcut 3519 for cutting. It supports precise cuts, contours and repeatable shapes with suitable materials.

Additional technical data:

  • Effective cutting length: 3.50 m
  • Cutting speed: up to 45 m/min
  • Positioning speed: up to 60 m/min
  • Total width of cutter frame: 2.25 m
  • Total length of cutter frame: 4.50 m
  • Length of clearing area: 3.30 m
  • Total length of cutter system: 12.0 m
  • Operating voltage: 400 V, 50 / 60 Hz, 3-phase
  • Compressed air: 5-6 bar, 10 l/min

The technical details are for guidance only. The material, shape, quantity and desired processing are the most important factors when assessing your enquiry.

  • flat technical parts
  • Prototypes and bespoke items
  • Foams
  • Insulation materials, such as glass wool and rock wool
  • Paper, cardboard and corrugated cardboard
  • Transparencies
  • Rubber and sealing materials
  • thin plastics, such as PVC or PET
  • Softwood fibreboard

This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications and opens up many possibilities for bespoke solutions, small-batch production and specific special requirements.

Your offer

What we need for your quotation

The following information is helpful for a quick check:

  • Material or desired application
  • Mass, shape or sketch
  • Quantity
  • Desired processing, for example cutting to size, cutting out, coating, edge processing or gluing
  • Appointment request
  • if available: Drawing, DXF file, template or photo of the application

Don't have a finished file yet? Send us dimensions, a sketch or a photo. We will clarify which details are required for the realisation.

Once we have received your details, we will assess the feasibility, clarify any outstanding details and advise you on the most suitable design. You will then receive a quotation for your bespoke cuts and finishes.

Why SAGER?

We know insulation materials not only from sales, but also from development, production and application. This knowledge of materials helps with feasibility testing, choosing the right processing and assessing whether a cut is feasible for your application.

FAQ

Yes, we manufacture from 1 piece - for example for special parts, samples, development projects or small series.
The material, quantity, dimensions, desired shape, application, processing and deadline are helpful. Drawings, DXF files, templates or photos can facilitate the check.
Yes, contours, radii and cut-outs are possible depending on the material, geometry and application.
Yes, we can advise you on feasibility on request. Drawings or preparation from a sketch are also possible on request.
Materials from the Sager range can be processed. We check the feasibility of supplied materials on request.

We deliver directly to the construction site or your desired location with our own fleet of lorries.

The lead time depends on the material, shape, quantity and the required finish. Once we have received your enquiry, we will provide you with a clear estimate and a delivery date.

Yes. Depending on the project, it is possible – and often advisable – to produce a prototype or sample pattern before placing a production order.
